Q: How can I order a turntable? How does a reservation procedure works?

A: It is really simple. Just let us know what model you are interested in. After that we’ll provide app waiting time and if a customer agrees, we just write a name on the reserve list and contact you once your turntable is completed. No money in advance is needed and there are no obligations to purchase a turntable as well.

Q: How fast do I have to reply to your mail once you send me a note that my turntable is completed?

A: Usualy, we give a customer 3-5 days to get back to us and if we don’t hear from it in that span, we just transfer his turntable to the next customer waiting in line. If a previous customer responds after that and his order is already transferred and he still wishes to purchase a turntable, he falls back in the
waiting line unfortunately.

Q: What methods of payment you accept?

A: A customer can pay through PayPal or through normal, straight bank transfer (IBAN).

Q: Can I purchase a turntable straight in your factory?

A: While everyone is welcomed to pay us a visit it is highly unlikely that you’ll be able to purchase anything on a random day as we are, for the majority of time completely sold out and we rarely have anything on stock. As soon as we complete the turntable, it’s packed and we ship them, as it already has a buyer. So if you plan to buy a turntable straight in our factory, please reserve a turntable first and let us know in advance the date of arrival.

Q: Can I buy a cartridge or stylus from you?

A: No. We do not sell or produce cartridges and stylus.

Q: What type of cartridges would you recommend for your tonearms and turntables?

A: Cartridges are a matter of personal taste and a financial budget. Some brands produce sharp, some mellow sound, some are warm and some produce more colder sound. Some cost 100 euros and some are 7,000 euros. We leave these choices to a customer. As far as a fit is concerned, our tonearm is designed to be a good fit for most of the brands on the market. It supports majority of the best known brands.

Q: What amplifier or preamp do I need to use your turntable and what would you recommend?

A: Our turntable and tonearm have nothing to do with amplifier. Your amplifier depends on your cartridge. So if you have a MC type of cartridge you need a amplifier with a MC input (same case with MM cartridge). Some amplifiers supports both, but if not, you need a preamplifier. As far as recommendation is concerned, we could suggest 2 great Croatian companies such as Sound Carrier and Mozzaik Audio.

Q: Can I buy a spare belt from you?

A: Only one belt is included with our turntable. If a customer wishes to buy more, please visit Ness electronics from Minneapolis and look for FRX 38.8 flat belt (the only belt that fits our platter and pulley).

Q: Do you make custom made turntables? Can I combine parts between various models and choose different colors?

A: No, no and no. We don’t have time for that and combination of parts is not possible because the geometry does not match.

Q: Do you make or sell dust covers?

A: No, we do not. But there are plenty of factories around the world, or even in your own country that are dealing with plastic, and can make you one if you provide them the measures.

Q: I’ve heard you are making tonearm bases for free, is that true?

A: That was the case long time ago. Before our brand exploded and when it was possible to do that for our customers time wise. But today we no longer have the time to do that and when we do (which is rarely) we charge each base 100 euros.

Q: How much this turntable weights? What material is the platter made of? How long are your tonearms etc etc...

Q: How difficult is to assemble your products?

A: Turntable itself is extremely easy. All you need to do is to connect the platter with a pulley through a belt, plug in the power cord and set the correct speeds on potentiometers and that is it. Tonearm on the other hand could be a little bit more difficult but there is a step by step manual included on our site and we are always here to help if any further assistance is needed. All the keys for setting up both, the turntable and a tonearm is included as well.

Q: Do you have a dealership in X country?

A: No. All the sales goes directly through us. You can buy a brand new SAM product only from us.

Q: I am dealer and I want to import your products to X country, are you interested?

A: Small Audio Manufacture does not work with dealers. While we appreciate your compliments and your business proposals, we currently have no need for any kind of dealership. If any dealer is interested to co operate with us it can only be under our conditions (which means no contracts, no obligations and no major lowering of our prices).

Q: Where do you ship your products?

A: Worldwide. To every country on globe.

Q: What shipping carrier you use?

A: Small Audio Manufacture goods are ONLY shipped with our national domestic post (Croatian Post) and after it leaves our country the shipping is proceed with the buyer’s national carrier (such as USPS, Canada Post, Italian Post, Royal Mail etc). We use this method because it’s cheap, reliable and has far less paperwork to deal with.

Q: Why can’t you ship my turntable with DHL, Oversees Express, UPS, GLS or any other faster shipping company?

A: Because they are insanely expensive. However, if a customer wishes so, he can arrange a pick up by himself with those companies (and pay around 1,000 USD – cca 800 USD more then with our method) and we’ll gladly send it that way.

Q: Do you provide tracking number?

A: Yes of course.

Q: What’s delivery time once you ship the turntable?

A: EU 5-10 days (although for some countries it could be longer), USA 15-3O days (sometimes it arrives in 8 days and sometimes in 35 days – there are no rules), Canada 10 – 20 days), UK 7-15 days, Australia15-30 days, Asia 15-30 days ( but it could be longer), Russian Federation 15-30 days, South America – please contact us.

Q: I want to order your turntable but I am afraid of the damage in transportation.

A: In any case of damage during the transport, S.A.M. is sending a replacement parts free of charge.
